
Master of Medical Science Entrance Requirements
Entrance Requirements
All Master of Medical Science applicants must have:

- graduated from an accredited 4-year U.S. or Canadian college/university
- a minimum Total Cumulative GPA of 2.7 at all schools attended
- either a U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
- The following prerequisite courses must have been taken prior to matriculation in the MMS program:
- Biology with Lab (8 credits)
- Inorganic Chemistry with Lab (8 credits)
- Organic Chemistry with Lab* (8 credits)
*4 credit hours may be replaced with 3 credits hours of Biochemistry - English (6 credits)
All required courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better.
It is highly recommended that additional upper-level Biology and Chemistry before joining the MMs program. LECOM recommends that prospective students consider taking advanced coursework, including biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, and anatomy.
