MSBE Admission Requirements

Applicants shall meet these minimum requirements:

  1. Applicants will have completed a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university by the time of enrollment or be currently enrolled and have completed the first two years of their training in the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) College of Medicine (COM), School of Pharmacy (SOP) School of Podiatric Medicine (SPM) or School of Dental Medicine (SDM).
  2. The MSBE program requires official academic records and transcripts, from ALL colleges, universities, graduate, or professional schools attended.
  3. A personal essay statement detailing a candidate’s motivations for pursuing a master’s degree in biomedical ethics and in what capacity this degree will aid in their future career goals. 
  4. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  5. For International Applicants, an English proficiency test score (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo English, Pearson Test for English) is required. Please carefully review the schoolwide score minimums, test submission instructions, and exemptions from the English Language Proficiency requirement
