Sometimes, you need a little TBCC!

The Southern Tier Healthcare Expo, presented by Corning Incorporated, featured a Teddy Bear Care Clinic, hosted by LECOM at Elmira’s Pediatrics and Radiology Club. This special station let kids bring their fuzzy friends in for check-ups and "X-rays," helping to make medicine feel safe and approachable for our youngest neighbors. We loved seeing the smiles and the healthy teddy bears!

We were able to volunteer as part of SOMA at a food and clothing drive in Pittsburgh. The number of volunteers from all over the area was amazing to see. It was inspiring to see the community come together, and being part of this event reminded me of the importance of giving back. Proud to be a part of SOMA and LECOM, and make a difference.

This photo is taken just before an ER shift when I had reached exactly halfway through my pregnancy while completing an audition rotation for Emergency Medicine residency in Orlando, FL (AdventHealth Orlando East). LECOM-Bradenton has been so incredibly supportive in my journey, not only in medical school but also in deciding to create a family at the same time! You can be a great mom AND a great (student) doctor!

Winter Primary Care 2026 will focus on health problems commonly seen in the offices of primary care physicians. This four-day seminar aims to provide participating physicians with information about new medical advancements in order to increase the scope of treatment options available to the primary care physicians and to enhance the physicians’ existing knowledge of topics, thus improving patient care.

Serving Up Success!

PBL and Pizza is LECOM at Seton Hill Sigma Sigma Phi’s legacy event held every November. This event is designed to give the first-year students an opportunity to ask second-years how they approach PBL and medical school in general.
The event this year was quite a success! We had a great turnout and many of the first-years told us how helpful this event was. Plenty of the second-years had great advice and were more than willing to help the first-years in any way they could!

MILESTONE Moment! This picture captures the last day of classes from my OMS-2 year. My classmates and I just finished a series of assessments to prepare for our first board exam together. With everyone splitting off to go home, this dinner together was the last time to connect in person with my study group members, who, through the course of our studies, have become some of my best friends.

Skating for Seniors was a huge success!

LECOM Erie’s Student Government Association hosted a fun night at the LECOM Sports Park filled with skating, ornament-making, and card writing. Guests brought gifts or donated to help brighten Christmas for residents at the LECOM Senior Living Center and our other facilities.
Thanks to everyone who joined in spreading joy – together, we made this season extra special for our seniors!

The first-ever Southern Tier Health Fair was held in November, thanks to a partnership between LECOM at Elmira and Corning Inc. It was fantastic to see our students fill the turf field, representing student organizations like the Wellness Club and engaging directly with our community on such topics as kidney health and hydration. Engaging the community, public health education, and a team of dedicated volunteer faculty and students made for an unforgettable event!
