APAP Curriculum

APAP Curriculum Overview

APAP students will complete the first-year of didactic instruction within the PBL Pathway at the Greensburg campus, followed by two primary care focused clinical clerkships: one in family medicine with a physician who is board-certified in osteopathic manipulation, and a second in geriatric medicine. These two clinical clerkships allow early exposure to clinical osteopathic primary care. As noted in the 2009 Macy Foundation report, promoting early exposure to primary care practices in these areas results in higher numbers of physicians practicing in similar areas after graduation.

Students will return for a second year of didactic instruction followed by 13 clinical clerkships.
