OB/GYN (Third Year Rotation): 1 block rotation (4 weeks)

During the four-week rotation, students are expected to meet and exceed curricular requirements, demonstrate professionalism, and actively engage in their learning by asking questions and taking initiative. Students typically gain experience in ambulatory, inpatient, and surgical settings, allowing exposure to the full spectrum of obstetric and gynecologic care. Emphasis is placed on developing skills in preventive care and appropriate screening in the ambulatory setting, as well as participating in prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. Students are also involved in preoperative evaluation, intraoperative management, postoperative care, and the performance of obstetric and gynecologic procedures.
