About Victoria Hrach, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Microbiology, LECOM at Seton Hill
Areas of expertise:
• Microbiology
• Molecular biology
Research interests: Evaluating efficacy of antimicrobial compounds
Research summary: Dr. Hrach’s laboratory work examines the impact of novel antimicrobial substances against different bacterial and fungal species. These projects examine the spectrum of activity of various compounds, as well as uncovering potential mechanisms of their antimicrobial activity. Dr. Hrach has also been involved in several educational research projects, including developing a wet-lab microbiology activity and examining its impact on students, and assessing use of generative AI among medical students.
