How to Apply to the LECOM Early Acceptance Program
1. Visit the LECOM EAP website for information on requirements and a list of our affiliate colleges and universities.
2. Click the “Apply” button on the webpage to enter the application portal.
3. Turn your browser popup blockers OFF to ensure that the screens can load properly.
4. Click “New to LECOM” to create an account.
5. Once you have created your account and can login to your portal, click “Start a New
Application”.
6. Select “Early Acceptance Program” as the school you are applying for.
7. You will be required to list at least one affiliate school but you can list up to three in total. We will notify those schools of your interest in attending their school for our EAP program.
8. Complete and submit the application.
9. After you submit the application, you will be prompted to complete a checklist of documents.
10. Most of those documents will be checked off by LECOM after you have completed your interview. Please allow us a couple of weeks after completion of the interview before reaching out to see if we have received documents.
AFTER YOUR APPLICATION IS SUBMITTED
1. LECOM will review your application then reach out to you to invite you to a virtual information session if you meet the minimum requirements of your program of interest.
2. After the information session, we may send a link for your own personal interview.
3. The personal interview is a series of 6 questions. You will have 2 minutes to answer
each question, and only one chance to record your answers.
4. After you complete both the information and the interview, and all
documents have been checked off in your checklist, we will send your application to the committee for a decision.
AFTER THE DECISION
1. If you are admitted to the EAP, we will reserve your seat at your first-choice affiliate school that you listed on your application. You must gain admission through their process and enter your .edu email address into the LECOM portal to confirm your seat.
2. If there are no EAP seats open at your first-choice school, you can choose a different
college or stay on a waiting list. You must check with LECOM to make sure there is an open EAP seat at any alternative schools. High School students have until November 1 of their freshman year in college to confirm their seat. Current college students have 30 days to enroll in an affiliate college with an open EAP seat.
3. If you are denied for the EAP, you may reapply one time per application cycle until the completion of your junior year in college if you meet the requirements.
PLEASE NOTE: The application for the EAP requires you to apply to LECOM and any undergraduate affiliate colleges separately. If accepted, LECOM awards the EAP seat and then you can choose your undergraduate affiliate school with an open EAP seat. You must also gain admission through the undergraduate school’s admissions process. Reach out to ea*@***om.edu to discuss LECOM’s application process or use the QR code below to book a meeting.
