Biography

Thomas A. Quinn, DO is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following Internship at the Lancaster Osteopathic Hospital, now the Heart of Lancaster Medical Center, he served as a physician in the U. S. Navy stationed at the Naval Air Station Hospital, Albany, GA. After discharge from active duty, Dr. Quinn established a family practice in Lancaster, PA where he practiced for twenty-two years. He is Board Certified in Family Practice. While in Lancaster he was a member of the Naval Reserve for ten years and the PA Army National Guard for twelve years. While in the National Guard Dr. Quinn served as the Commander of the 103rd Medical Battalion, Division Surgeon of the 28th Infany Division, and State Surgeon of the PA National Guard. Dr. Quinn moved to Florida in January 1990 and was the Vice-President of Medical Management for the JSA Corporation, the National Medical Director for Humana Workers’ Compensation, and Medical Director of the Florida League of Cities. He received an additional Board Certification in Occupational Medicine. Currently, he is a Clinical Professor at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine – Bradenton. His book “THE FEMININE TOUCH: Women in Osteopathic Medicine”  is in its second printing. For information go to- the-feminine-touch.blogspot.com/.  The PBS Documentary based on Dr. Quinn’s book THE FEMININE TOUCH: Women in Osteopathic Medicine, being filmed by WEDU TV, is scheduled for release in late 2014. Dr. Quinn has authored multiple articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and articles on the history of osteopathic medicine and is the author of “The College Student’s Guide to Osteopathic Medicine.”
