Biography
Sarah McCarthy received her bachelor’s of science degree from Mercyhurst University in 2007. She then attended Penn State Hershey and received her Ph.D. in Anatomy in 2012. She worked from 2012-2015 at LECOM as an assistant professor of anatomy and then moved to Vermont to work at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine. She returned to LECOM in August 2018. She is currently the assistant director of the Teaching and Leadership Academy. She teaches anatomy, embryology, histology, and neuroanatomy in the medical, post-bacc, and doctorate programs. She is most interested in researching innovative teaching methods and promoting faculty development.
