Biography
Edwin Bautista, DPM, MS, AACFAS is a podiatric physician and foot and ankle surgeon with LECOM Health in Englewood, Florida. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and completed a three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with the added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery (PMSR/RRA) at LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavillion. Dr. Bautista is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery. His clinical interests include comprehensive forefoot, rearfoot and ankle surgery, trauma, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, minimally invasive surgery, and podiatric dermatology and dermatopathology. He has presented on diabetic foot ulcer prevention and management and co-authored research presented at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Annual Scientific Conference. Before entering podiatric medicine, Dr. Bautista earned a Master of Science in Biotechnology and worked as a research scientist in the biotechnology industry.
