Biography

Ashley A. Muehlberger, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Jacksonville University pathway of the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM).  Her educational interests include clinical anatomy, cadaveric dissection, artificial intelligence in medical education and clinical application. 

Dr. Muehlberger earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Northeast Ohio Medical University through its accelerated BS/MD program and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences from The University of Akron. 

Prior to joining LECOM, Dr. Muehlberger completed residency training in General Surgery at Orlando Health followed by fellowship training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Beth Israel Lahey Health System.  She subsequently served as a staff plastic and reconstructive surgeon, where she was actively involved in resident and medical student education through surgical skills laboratories, academic conferences, and didactic lectures. Her scholarly work includes publications in bariatric surgery and presentations at national and international scientific meetings.
