About Jan Hendryx, DO, FAAO
Dr. Hendryx is OPP Institutional Director and Clinical Professor of Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP)/Family Medicine at LECOM-Erie and is board-certified in Family Medicine, Special Proficiency in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and in Medical Acupuncture. He has a primary interest in the Bioenergetics Model as it applies to osteopathic diagnosis and treatment, health and disease. With colleague Richard O’Brien, DO, he researched and co-developed a biophysics-based model of OMT called Dynamic Strain-Vector Release (DSVR). He has co-authored several scientific research articles, and authored textbook chapters in Foundations of Osteopathic Medicine (4th and 5th editions). He has lectured and conducted workshops nationally and internationally on topics related to advanced osteopathy, acupuncture and other integrative health subjects. Dr. Hendryx has previously maintained Integrative Osteopathic and Acupuncture practices in Boulder and Lake City, CO, and in Bradford and Erie, PA.
