U.S. News & World Report Recognizes LECOM Among 2024 Best Medical Schools

U.S. News & World Report Recognizes LECOM Among 2024 Best Medical SchoolsLake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) ranks 46th in the nation for the Most Graduates Practicing in Primary Care and 39th for Most Graduates Practicing in Rural Areas among 168 schools, according to the 2024 Best Medical Schools report by U.S. News & World Report.

“LECOM’s consistent rankings on U.S. News and World Report’s Best Medical Schools lists are a testament to our faculty and staff’s unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and student success,” said LECOM president and CEO John M. Ferretti, D.O.

Designed for prospective students seeking a degree in medicine, this edition of Best Medical Schools provides students with access to data from medical schools in research and primary care across the country.

LECOM is also ranked 94th by U.S. News and World Report among the Most Graduates Practicing in Health Professional Shortage Areas.  Additionally, Diverse Issues in Higher Education Magazine ranked LECOM first among osteopathic colleges in awarding degrees to minority students, and tenth among all producers of health sciences degrees.
