Biography
Rocco Rotello is an Associate Professor of Pharmacology, in the college of medicine at LECOM Bradenton. Dr. Rotello’s graduate level instruction includes pharmaceutical science, drug discovery, action and metabolism, pharmacogenomics, immunology, and antibody therapy. He served as founding faculty member for Cedarville University, Cedarville, Ohio, school of pharmacy inaugural graduating class 2016. He is an inventor on human monoclonal antibody therapy patents that target blood vessel stabilization and endothelial survival (Eye Point Pharmaceuticals). He has 16 years of drug discovery experience, as a Senior Scientist, Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals, and 3 years of Medical Communication experience at P&G. Recently he served as Director of Pharmaceutical Science in a 503b Sterile drug manufacturing company, STAQ Pharma, Columbus, Ohio. His other areas of research include drug formulation, OTC supplements, combination drug/devices. His energy and focus are student success and mentoring that leads to subject matter expertise, which leads to improved patient outcomes and innovation in the lab and classroom. During his free time Dr. Rotello enjoys staying physically active with outdoor activities including golf, biking, hiking, cycling, pickleball and visiting family in Colorado.
