Biography
Dr. Mohammad Junayed Khan is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at LECOM School of Podiatric Medicine, where he contributes to the education and training of future podiatrists. Dr. Khan’s areas of instruction include podiatric medicine and surgery. He has served as a full-time podiatrist at Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in Buffalo and Dunkirk, NY, providing high-quality care to underserved populations. Additionally, Dr. Khan is a Wound Care Specialist at Brooks Wound Care Center, Brooks Hospital, Dunkirk, NY.
Dr. Khan was formerly a Surgical Attending Physician at Catholic Health System PMSR/RRA Residency at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. His research interests focus on improving outcomes for patients with lower extremity conditions, particularly in wound care and the reliability of radiographic measurements in describing foot deformities. Dr. Khan has presented his findings at national conferences and published in reputable journals, including The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and The Journal of American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Khan is dual board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and the American Board of Wound Management, and board qualified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He has received numerous awards and scholarships, such as the American Board of Wound Management Foundation Scholarship and the APMA Scholarship. Dr. Khan is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
