Biography
Marcia Cirino Ballantyne, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pathology in the college of medicine at LECOM Bradenton. She obtained her Medical Degree and her master’s degree in Dermatology/ Dermatopathology in Brazil and in Italy (combined studies with locum experience). She completed her 5-year Residency in Anatomical Pathology at the University of Alberta, Canada. She then worked as a full time Pathologist and Associated Professor of Pathology (UBC) in the Province of British Columbia Canada. Dr Ballantyne recently joined LECOM Bradenton (July 2023) as an associate Professor of Pathology. During her free time Dr. Ballantyne enjoys reading books, going for long walks on the beach and learning new languages.
