Biography
Dr. Julie Wilkinson is a professor of pharmacy practice at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) School of Pharmacy in Bradenton, Florida. Dr. Wilkinson earned the Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Samford University McWhorter School of Pharmacy in Birmingham, Alabama. She completed pharmacotherapy residency training at Idaho State University with the Department of Family Medicine and the College of Pharmacy. She is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist with collaborative patient care experience in anticoagulation management, hypertension, diabetes, and HIV care. Her pharmacy practice experience includes community, hospital, long-term care, and the Idaho Medicaid Drug Utilization Review program. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Good Samaritan Pharmacy and Health Services clinic in Nokomis, Florida. Dr. Wilkinson teaches professional development, self-care conditions, primary care disease states, and pharmacoepidemiology in the Doctor of Pharmacy program at LECOM.
