Biography
Elizabeth Brito serves as Assistant Dean of the Florida Pathway and an Assistant Professor for Pharmacy Practice. In her academic role, she teaches a variety of topics such as medication safety, professionalism, managed care, and pharmacoeconomics. She also evaluates students’ hands-on clinical skills, including vaccine administration and other patient care activities. Dr. Brito earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Hampton University in 2010 and her Master of Health Services Administration degree from LECOM in 2026. Prior to joining LECOM, she practiced as a community pharmacist and later served as a Clinical Pharmacist at the corporate level for a large grocery pharmacy organization. Throughout her practice career, she demonstrated a strong commitment to patient care and public health, providing leadership in immunization services, community outreach, and other healthcare initiatives. Dr. Brito brings her diverse clinical, operational, and administrative experience to pharmacy education, with a focus on preparing future pharmacists to provide safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
