Biography

Dr. Hudder is Assistant Director of Lecture-Discussion Pathway, Faculty Resident Monitor, Director of Endocrine System, and Director of Biochemistry.

Positions Held

July 2014 – present Associate Professor of Biochemistry Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.

July 2012 –June 2014 Assistant Professor of Biochemistry Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.

March 2007-June 2012  Assistant Professor Institute for Environmental Health Sciences, Wayne State University. Multidisciplinary research in toxicology of heavy metals; high throughput system for gap junctions.

December 2010-present Review Editor for Frontiers in Molecular and Cellular Toxicology

June 2007-March 2009 Member NIH Environmental Health Sciences Center in Molecular and Cellular Toxicology, Gene Regulation and Genetics Research Core, Wayne State University.

March 2005-February 2007 Associate Center Investigator in NIEHS Marine and Freshwater Sciences Center, University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. Used DNA microarrays for toxicology studies in mice and to develop genetic molecular markers of toxic exposure.

May 2003-February 2007 Assistant Scientist in the Laboratory of Patrick J. Walsh in the Division of Marine Biology and Fisheries, University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science. RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, library construction, normalization, library subtraction, high-throughput sequence analysis (ABI Prism platform, 7700), used robotics, EST sequence analysis, identify novel genes, develop DNA microarrays for gene expression studies.

July 2000-May 2003 Postdoctoral Research Associate in Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Miami School of Medicine, supervised by Murray P. Deutscher. Studied the organization of mammalian cytoplasm.

October 2000-May 2003  Editorial Associate IUBMB Life,  William J. Whelan, Editor-in Chief.
