Dr. Christine Lomiguen Joins LECOM Health Provider Network

LECOM Health welcomes Dr. Christine Lomiguen, a leader in medical education and patient care, to its esteemed team of providers.

Dr. Lomiguen brings a wealth of experience and a distinguished record of excellence in medical education and patient care, making her a truly exceptional addition to the nexus of LECOM Health providers.

Her recent recognition with her receipt of the prestigious John M. and Silvia Ferretti Award for Distinguished Teaching underscores her commitment to nurturing the next generation of physicians.  The Award, presented by the Ferretti family in honor of their parents, recognizes outstanding service in stimulating and guiding the intellectual development of students at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM).

Dr. Lomiguen’s dual appointments as LECOM Assistant Director of Pathology and Assistant Professor of Pathology highlight her multifaceted contributions to the institution, profoundly impacting countless students.  Her unwavering dedication and exceptional organizational skills have been instrumental in shaping the LECOM reputation emphasizing educational exceptionalism.

Dr. Lomiguen’s influence extends far beyond the classroom.  She is a driving force behind the growth of osteopathic medical education, tirelessly supporting the osteopathic mission.  Her peerless leadership has been integral to LECOM success.  Her commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of her work, from her meticulous approach to teaching to her dedication to patient care.

Beyond her academic achievements, Dr. Lomiguen’s professional qualifications are equally impressive.  Board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), she is also pursuing board certification in Sports Medicine.

Her extensive qualifications include the aforementioned board certification in Family Medicine; a Family Medicine Residency and a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at LECOM Health; an unrestricted license from the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine; and a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.  This multifaceted experience, encompassing both rigorous academic pursuits and hands-on patient care, makes her an inspiring figure for aspiring physicians.

Dr. Lomiguen earned her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Our Lady of Fatima College of Medicine in the Philippines and she holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Medical Education from LECOM.

As of July 1, 2025, Dr. Lomiguen began seeing patients at Eastside Medical Center, bringing her exceptional skills and compassionate approach to direct patient care.  Her commitment to teaching and to patient care make her a valuable asset to LECOM Health and to the community she serves.
