Refresh Your Commitment: Philanthropists Uniting to Support the Medical Leaders of Tomorrow

Community champions, benefactors, and advocates nationwide are gearing up for an inspiring night of giving at the annual Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) Gala.

This year’s elegant fusion of the LECOM Student Scholarship Auction Gala and Dinner will take place on October 25, 2025, in Sarasota, Florida, and on November 15, 2025, in Erie, Pennsylvania. All proceeds will bolster the Student Scholarship Fund, empowering deserving students to pursue their dreams of medical excellence.

These luminous evenings of fellowship and spirited bidding will draw a diverse gathering of LECOM supporters eager to make a difference through lively auctions featuring a wide array of donated prizes.

Behind the scenes, LECOM Vice President of External Affairs, Monsignor David Rubino, and LECOM School of Dental Medicine Dean, Thomas Yoon, D.O., are leading dedicated committees whose unwavering dedication, seamless coordination, and keen eye for detail promise to make this year’s festivities the most impactful yet.

John M. Ferretti, D.O., LECOM President and CEO, along with Silvia M. Ferretti, D.O., Provost, Senior Vice President, and Dean of Academic Affairs, will host the evening of fundraising events.  Guests will gather first at The Ora grand ballroom in Sarasota and later, a month afterward, at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie.

Scholarship recipients will be present at both galas, sharing heartfelt gratitude with attendees for their vital support.

An elegant cocktail reception will precede both silent and live auctions during these black-tie optional evenings, all complemented by a delectable multi-course dinner.

A treasure trove of donated items awaits attendees this year, with surprises and exclusive offerings sure to inspire generosity and hope.

Mark your calendars now to revitalize your spirit and join us in shaping futures in medical education and healthcare.
