The 3,400-square-foot building cost just under $2 million for design and construction and the faculty will be situated adjacent to LECOM Health Northwestern Area Health Center.
“This pharmacy is part of our broader rural health initiative – an effort to ensure that high-quality, accessible care is available in every corner of our region,” said James Lin, D.O., President of LECOM Institute for Successful Living.
Colonial Family Pharmacy in Albion joins LECOM Health’s existing Erie locations at 3822 Colonial Avenue and 5702 Peach Street, where convenient and efficient access to vital medications and support services are available.
“While retail chains and individual pharmacies are struggling, selling, or closing, our pharmacies are positioned to thrive,” said Danielle Hansen, D.O., Regional President of LECOM Health. “Strategically locating the pharmacy next door to our primary care clinic in Albion, where Dr.Bodosky and Kippy Bodosky provide high-quality care and an exceptional educational experience for our medical students, reminds us that this new facility is not simply an expansion of our physical infrastructure and footprint, but an expansion of our ability to impact lives in profound ways,” she noted.
The Albion location will provide several pharmacy services such as immunizations, medication monitoring, delivery, curbside service, medication counseling, and over-the-counter products, in addition to filling prescriptions.
