LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavilion Opens New Emergency Department, Cardiac Cath Lab, Medical/Surgical Unit, and Intensive Care Unit

Physicians understand urgency. They train for urgent situations. They prepare for the worst case scenarios. Their minds – skilled, alert, and competently honed – comprehend the gravity of a moment. For those who find themselves in the epicenter of an emergency, state-of-the-art, first rate treatment and healthcare are essential.

Advancing that very point, LECOM Health welcomed media and notables to the eagerly awaited Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, opening the new Emergency Department, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Medical/Surgical Unit, and Intensive Care Unit at LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavilion on Peach Street in Erie, Pennsylvania.

The April 9, 2025 event featured facility key leadership who offered remarks. Speakers included Anthony Ferretti, D.O., Matthew C. Becker, M.D., and Danielle Hansen, D.O.

Media were invited to take photos and speak to individuals on site; and tours of the facility were available following the ceremony.

LECOM leadership offers a collective and profoundly heartfelt nod of approval to all of the dedicated healthcare professionals who are determined to bend adversity to their will and who boldly answer the noble call to heal in a new and innovative environment that will enhance the betterment of the region.
