Danielle Hansen, D.O., Named Regional President of LECOM Health

Danielle Hansen, D.O.Erie, Pa. (August 28, 2024) – LECOM Health President and CEO John M. Ferretti, D.O., announced today the appointment of Danielle Hansen, D.O., to Regional President of the organization. In this newly created role, Dr. Hansen will oversee Medical Associates of Erie, Millcreek Community Hospital, Corry Memorial Hospital, and LECOM Behavioral Health, including Corry Counseling of LECOM Health and the Achievement Center of LECOM Health.

“Dr. Hansen has consistently demonstrated her ability to lead successfully and will work closely with the leadership and staff of each entity to enhance operational efficiencies, elevate the quality of patient care, and continue advancing the mission and strategy of our healthcare system,” said Dr. Ferretti.

Dr. Hansen said, “I’m honored to step into this role and am grateful for Dr. John Ferretti’s trust and confidence in me. I look forward to collaborating with all the entities within our health system to continue making a meaningful impact on all the patients we serve.”

Dr. Hansen most recently served as Vice President of LECOM Behavioral Health and Medical Director for Medical Associates of Erie. She earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in 2005 and completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine at Millcreek Community Hospital. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American College of Osteopathic Internists, possesses a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine, and is board-certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine by the American Osteopathic Conjoint Board. She received her Master of Science in Medical Education and Master’s in Health Services Administration from LECOM.

Dr. Hansen will report to Dr. Ferretti and continue to see patients at the LECOM Institute for Successful Aging and the Corry Memorial Hospital Rural Health Clinic, as well as continue her role as a Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at LECOM.
