Biography
Dr. Dean earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville, Missouri. She completed her internal medicine residency at St. John’s Detroit Riverview hospital, where she served as chief Internal Medicine resident. She completed her Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal residency at Trinity Health Muskegon, Michigan where she also served as chief medicine resident. Her past teaching experience includes faculty and core faculty for Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Michigan State University and Trinity Health Muskegon. She is a member of the executive committee for the A.T. Still Research Institute’s Practice Based Research Network, DO Touch.Net and the American Academy of Osteopathy’s Osteopathic Education Service Committee. Her clinical and research interests include non-musculoskeletal uses and acute care applications of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine in adults and newborns.
