Biography
Thomas P Arnold, PhD graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in vertebrate zoology and physical chemistry. His PhD is from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine where his research was in the regulation of growth factor, tyrosine kinases and modeling diseases in cultured human tissues. His postdoctoral experiences were with the Veterans Administration Research Service where he worked for ten years. He has taught the basic medical sciences for 3+ decades. He has been at LECOM since 2017. He is also a council member of the Florida Academy of Sciences and serves as the chair of the science teaching section. Dr. Arnold is a former boy scout and scoutmaster. In his spare time, he enjoys nature photography, astronomy, amateur radio (N4VHG) and motorcycling.
