Biography
Dr. Janene Culumber is an Adjunct Professor in the LECOM School of Graduate Studies. Professor Culumber’s areas of graduate instruction include: economic analysis and application in decision making in LECOM’s Masters in Health Services Administration program. She is the author of a discussion case titled Physician EMR Adoption in an Academic Setting, which is published in the Muma Case Review and Journal of Information Technology Education. In addition, Janene currently serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Florida Orthopaedic Institute (FOI), an orthopaedic practice with ten locations serving Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Manatee counties. In her role as CFO, she provides strategic and fiscal leadership to both the physician practice and to the physician owned surgery center. She is accountable for all functions of financial planning and budgeting, patient financial services, accounting, treasury, business analytics, supply chain, managed care contract negotiations, information technology, human resources, and corporate compliance and risk management. In addition, Janene has served as the Chair of the Supervisory Committee of the USF Federal Credit Union since 2016 and has served as a member of the Committee since 2012. Prior to working as CFO for FOI, she held the position of Senior Vice President and CFO of Moffitt Cancer Center where she worked for over 13 years.
