Biography
Teresa M. Hunter-Pettersen, MD, MPA, MS is the Institutional Director of Director Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and an Associate Professor of Medical Education in the College of Medicine at LECOM Bradenton. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at St. Joseph’s College. She then completed her graduate school education at La Universidad del Noreste, there she earned her MD. Dr. Pettersen continued her studies at New York University, where she obtained an MPA in Health Service Management, and then on to Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, to receive a MS in Medical Education. Dr. Pettersen has served at LECOM for over 18 years in several capacities. The most recent is Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Institution. Dr. Pettersen has been teaching at LECOM Bradenton since 2007. During her free time, Dr. Pettersen enjoys water aerobics and travel.
