Biography

Dr. Razzaque is currently a Professor of Pathology at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Erie, Pennsylvania (USA). He obtained a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in pathology from Nagasaki University (Japan) and also holds a degree in medicine (MBBS). Dr. Razzaque is a visiting professor of Department of Oral Health Policy & Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts (USA), University of Antwerp (Belgium), and an honorary professor of University of Rwanda College of Medicine & Health Sciences, Kigali (Rwanda). He also worked as a professor of pathology at the Saba University School of Medicine (Dutch Caribbean), and an assistant professor of oral medicine at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Razzaque has published more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific articles, in the highest impact journals, including in “Cancer Cell,” “PNAS,” “Journal of Cell Biology,” “FASEB Journal,” “Journal of Biological Chemistry,” “Nature Review Endocrinology,” “Developmental Cell,” “American Journal of Pathology” and “Trends in Molecular Medicine.” He edited four books and has written more than 15 book chapters. His research interest is to understand the biology of the premature aging process, and his clinical interest is renal pathology. Dr. Razzaque is a recipient of an R01 grant as a principal investigator from the National Institute of Health (NIH) of USA.
