Originally from Belorussia, Dr. Slipak immigrated to the United States at age 14. She received her bachelor’s degree in medical sociology and health law from Brandeis University in 1998 and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry in 2002. It was while at NYUCD that she developed her passion for restorative dentistry, as well as her interest in becoming a dental educator. She completed a general-practice residency at Albert Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia, which was focused in trauma, surgery, implant placement and restoration. After private practice in Montgomeryville, Pa., Dr. Slipak joined LECOM's School of Dental Medicine in Bradenton, Fla., in 2016. Dr. Slipak has been teaching pre-clinical Fixed Prosthodontics, and is also the Director of Simulation at LECOM SDM. In addition, Dr. Slipak has been working to introduce digital dentistry to LECOM SDM, an area of the filed she is very passionate about.
