Dr. McBride received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After completion of her undergraduate degree, she went on to work in the cancer biology department at Wake Forest School of Medicine before starting her graduate studies at North Carolina A&T State University. Dr. McBride received her Doctor of Philosophy degree in immunology in December 2016. During her doctoral studies, she conducted research in nutritional immunology and was able to develop and optimize a new method to analyze and quantify Natural Killer cell cytolytic activity in human whole blood. Dr. McBride joined LECOM as an assistant professor of microbiology.
