COMLEX and USMLE Prep at LECOM

Wednesday, 19 February 2020

Traditionally, osteopathic medical students are required to take the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA) Level 1, and allopathic medical students take the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1. Starting in 2020 at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), second year medical students will be required to take both examinations – we know our students are more-than-adequately prepared, and we want them to have every competitive advantage when applying to their choice of residency programs.

On Friday, October 18, 2019, at LECOM’s Main Campus in Erie, Pennsylvania, the Preclinical Department hosted the Inaugural Board Preparation Resource Fair for COMLEX and USMLE. LECOM would like to thank the numerous board preparation resource companies for participating – whether in person and on campus or with raffle prizes, promotion codes, and webinars. The Board Preparation Resource Fair raised over $2000 in donations for the LECOM Student Scholarship Fund. For more information, visit: https://buff.ly/2SzfygK
