Masters of Science in Medical Education Application

Applicants shall meet these minimum requirements:

  1. Applicants will have completed a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university by the time of enrollment or be currently enrolled in the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) College of Medicine (COM), School of Pharmacy (SOP) or School of Dental Medicine (SDM).
  2. Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation from professional associates familiar with the applicant’s work and credentials.
  3. Applicants enrolled in LECOM’s COM, SOP or SDM may enroll in the MSMEd program. To apply, LECOM students must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, a letter of recommendation from the Dean, Pre-clinical or Clinical Assistant/Associate Dean or a Program/Pathway Director of their school.
  4. Applicants must submit an updated CV.

Entry into Program:

Entry into the Program occurs Early June and Early January.  Completed applications are due May 15 for the June-start Cohort and Dec 15 for the January-start Cohort.

  2. Submit the short MSMEd Program Inquiry Form via the link provided, which should take less than 2 minutes to complete: MSMEd Inquiry
    1. The inquiry will be processed within 48 hours and the applicant will be emailed a username, password, and instructions for completing the online application. Completion of the application will require a copy of a professional license or official transcripts of the highest degree earned, curriculum vitae or resume, and one letter of recommendation by a professional reference. Applications for a January entry into the program are due by December 15. Applications for a June entry into the program are due by May 15.
  3. Upon receipt of your inquiry submission, you will receive specific instructions on how to complete your MSMEd application and submit your $50 processing fee (waived for current students & MCH residents).  The online application will require you to submit:
    1. Letter of recommendation
    2. Current CV
    3. Copy of transcript or copy of professional license
