Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education
The LECOM School of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy degree program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). On June 24, 2017 the ACPE renewed the accreditation of the school of pharmacy for the maximum duration of eight years of accreditation. The School of Pharmacy will be visited in 2025 for its next regularly scheduled accreditation assessment.

About the ACPE
Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) is the national agency for the accreditation of professional degree programs in pharmacy and providers of continuing pharmacy education. ACPE was established in 1932 for the accreditation of pre-service education, and in 1975, its scope of activity was broadened to include accreditation of providers of continuing pharmacy education. ACPE is the sole accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit professional degree pscrograms in pharmacy.
The Council is an autonomous and independent agency whose Board of Directors is derived through the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) (three appointments each), and the American Council on Education (ACE) (one appointment).
The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine is chartered by the Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Commission for Independent Education of the Florida Department of Education.
Middle States Commission on Higher Education Accreditation
LECOM is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104; (267-284-5000). The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
