“LECOM is proud to support the 2014-15 Season at the Erie Playhouse,” said John M. Ferretti, DO, President and CEO of LECOM. “Ever eager to advance community betterment -- developing our local economy, expanding the tangible and intrinsic benefits of the arts to our students and citizens alike, we stand shoulder to shoulder with the arts community to ensure that the illumination of our community remains forever bright.”

Joining John Ferretti, DO (center), for the announcement of LECOM's sponsorship were (l-r) Almitra Clerkin, Moriticia (Kate Neubert-Lechner), Gomez (Chris Bucci), and Elvis (Eli Kerr).

LECOM and the Playhouse have a long-standing relationship, and the sponsorship serves to further enhance their ongoing collaboration. With support from local businesses and philanthropists, arts and culture groups are assured a more secure future and, in turn, the “health” of the business sector and the Erie region will flourish under the vibrancy of a stronger arts and culture community.

"LECOM’s belief in our mission and the value of performing arts is an encouragement to our board, staff, and more than 900 volunteers," said Almitra Clerkin, Executive Director of the Playhouse. "More importantly, LECOM’s generous support will allow the Playhouse to continue to deliver the theatre our audiences have to come to expect from their community theatre. This belief and support will propel us through our 98th season of memorable characters and memorable performances!"

The Playhouse’s 2014-15 lineup of Mainstage shows includes Shrek: The Musical; Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike; ELF; The Addams Family; To Kill a Mockingbird; Sunset Boulevard; Elvis Has Left the Building; and All Shook Up.
