during a four-day orientation event. |
Students began their LECOM careers on Thursday, Sept. 4, with a welcome from Susan Lazzaro,
M.S., M.A., Institutional Director of Student Affairs; Msgr. David A. Rubino, Ph.D., Vice Provost;
and Donald A. Tuttle, Pharm. D., Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the LECOM School of
Pharmacy.
During the four-day event, new students got the opportunity to meet with
fellow classmates and the pharmacy faculty while learning about school policy and information
resources. On Sept. 4, students spent the lunch hour interacting with their faculty advisers.
On Saturday, Sept. 6, the new students brought family and friends to tour the school and
converse with faculty and students from other classes during an open house reception event. On
Sunday, Sept. 7, the pharmacy classes of 2009 and 2010 joined LECOM School of Pharmacy faculty and
staff members in welcoming the new students at a picnic event at Presque Isle State Park. Despite
dreary weather, the event was well attended.
