LECOM School of Pharmacy opens Center for Drug Information and Research
Latest pharmaceutical references and news now available online
LECOM and the School of Pharmacy are proud to announce
the opening of The Center for Drug Information and Research (CDIR), an innovative Internet based
drug information service. CDIR is dedicated to improving public health by disseminating best
evidence analyses and commentary on drugs and drug policy. The Center’s website is located at
http://cdir.lecom.edu.
The
Center, staffed by LECOM School of Pharmacy faculty, currently provides students, LECOM faculty,
and preceptors timely, independent best evidence analyses and commentary on drugs and drug
policy.
The Center will proactively disseminate information through the website, email, RSS
feeds, and Twitter. The Center provides a monthly newsletter focusing on newly FDA approved
medications. The web site will also offer timely news articles on pharmaceutical developments and
the Center Staff will respond to specific questions about drugs and drug policy.
As the
Center and the website evolve, the CDIR will begin to provide additional information and resources
for healthcare professionals and consumers, helping them make knowledgeable decisions about their
medication choices.
If you have questions for the Center or would like to comment on the
website on how the center can better serve the LECOM community and/or the public, please use the
