LECOM and Millcreek Community Hospital invite physicians, medical and pharmacy students, and health care professionals to attend Primary Care 2008 from March 7 to 9, 2008 at the Peek'n Peak Conference Center in Findley Lake, NY.

Primary Care 2008 offers physicians the opportunity to learn the latest information on medical advancements and treatment options. Lectures are presented by LECOM faculty and regional speakers.

Primary Care 2008 will focus on health problems commonly seen in the offices of primary care physicians. The objective of this three-day seminar aims to provide participating physicians with information about new medical advancements in order to increase the scope of treatment options available to primary care physicians and to enhance the physicians' existing knowledge of topics that will be covered. Following Primary Care 2008, the physician should be able to apply this new medical information in diagnosis and treatment, thus improving patient care.

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine anticipates Primary Care 2007 being approved for up to 20 AOA Category I-A CME credit hours pending approval by the AOA CCME.

Primary Care 2008 will include up to 5 hours devoted to Pennsylvania Patient Safety and Risk Management requirements.

The new AOA CME program is in the 2007-2009 cycle. Annual attendance at LECOM's Primary Care conference offers physicians an excellent opportunity to earn the category 1-A CME credits required for state licensing and AOA membership.

All Faculty participating in continuing medical education programs sponsored by LECOM are expected to disclose to the program audience any real or apparent conflicts of interest related to the content of their presentations.

Registrants are responsible for their own hotel accommodations. For reservations, call Peek’n Peak at (716) 355-4141, Ext. 7154 and specify that you have enrolled in the LECOM Primary Care 2008 seminar. Peek’n Peak will hold a block of rooms for participants. Reservations must be made by January 30, 2008 to guarantee a room.
