Hershey Bell, MD, MS (Med Ed), Vice President and Dean of the LECOM School of Pharmacy, reminded
the students why LECOM places a huge importance on professionalism.
"Society is counting
on you," Dr. Bell said. "The life and death of a patient rests in your hands. That's a
huge responsibility."
During orientation, the first-year students participated in the
annual team-building exercises at Summerfield Park in Lakewood Ranch. With the help of their peers,
students tried to navigate through a course of mini mouse-traps blindfolded and worked together to
find their way into a bungee cord tent.
LECOM School of Pharmacy Bradenton opened in 2007
and will graduate its first class in 2011.
