Beginning June 9, 2008, LECOM Bradenton will offer a 1-week Medical Science Academy (MSA) for high school students. This medical school primer will provide students an opportunity to experience the academic medical school environment.

Utilizing the Problem Based Learning approach to teaching, the primary learning pathway followed by LECOM Bradenton’s medical students, MSA allows participants to explore medical case studies in small groups. Additionally, laboratory experiences will expose MSA students to hands-on practical clinical skills such as splinting, suturing, CPR and basic First Aid.
