LECOM's Learning Resource Center
LECOM Learning Resource Center is committed to providing quality service and access to
information in support of the college mission. The Learning Resource Center maintains information
essential for osteopathic medical education and osteopathic philosophy, primary care, pharmacy and
all curricula. Today's healthcare professional must have the ability to use state-of-the-art
technology and access current medical and pharmaceutical literature. The Learning Resource Center
is dedicated to facilitating this process and assisting the students and staff of LECOM School of
Medicine and LECOM School of Pharmacy in becoming competent, independent users of timely
information.
The Learning Resource Center provides the LECOM community with timely and
accurate access to medical information directly related to academic study and research. Housing more
than 8,000 monographs and 4,800 bound volumes of journals, the library also maintains 168 hardcopy
journal subscriptions, as well as more than 800 electronic journal titles. Study areas contain
multimedia and computer hardware. Students have access to wireless and Local Area Network ports in
the library. Materials not available within the physical library are obtained through the National
Network of Libraries of Medicine.
