LECOM School of Pharmacy Bradenton Faculty Career Opportunities

FULL-TIME FACULTY

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy (LECOM SOP) is inviting applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position to teach within the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the Bradenton, FL campus.  The successful candidate will teach required and elective courses in his/her discipline, advise students, serve on school committees, and contribute to the scholarly pursuits of the school.  The faculty member will develop a clinical practice where they will precept final year Pharm.D. students.  The preferred area of practice is acute care medicine or ambulatory care.  Specialty practice areas of interest include, but are not limited to, clinical pharmacokinetics, pediatrics, oncology, and/or infectious diseases. LECOM is launching a distance education pathway for the Doctor of Pharmacy degree and faculty members will contribute to teaching students through online active learning activities. Candidates should also be open to collaboration with the College of Osteopathic Medicine and School of Dental Medicine. 

Candidates must possess the Doctor of Pharmacy degree, residency, and/or fellowship training or equivalent experience.  Candidate must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.  The position will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, based on the school’s criteria for rank.

DISTANCE EDUCATION FACULTY

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy (LECOM SOP) is inviting applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position to teach within the Doctor of Pharmacy program, with a focus on the school’s newly developed distance education pathway.  The successful candidate will teach required and elective courses in his/her discipline, advise students, serve on school committees, and contribute to the scholarly pursuits of the school.  The faculty member will also develop a clinical practice where they will precept final year Pharm.D. students.  The preferred area of practice is either ambulatory care or acute care pharmacy. 

Candidates must possess the Doctor of Pharmacy degree, residency, and/or fellowship training or equivalent experience.  Candidate must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.  The position will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, based on the school’s criteria for rank.  It is important that the candidate show ability and interest in teaching by distance education and supporting students who are geographically dispersed using electronic communication.
