IT/AV TECHNICIAN

The IT/AV Technician will be responsible for the daily operational support and  deployment of equipment including technical administration, maintenance, programming and repair; infrastructure support; performing basic network and hardware troubleshooting; maintaining Help Desk support documentation; resolving access and connectivity issues; preparing classrooms; supporting student equipment with system restores/reloads, virus/spyware removal, driver installations;  and other duties as assigned.

Associate’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in IT or related field with 1-3 years’ experience in Help Desk organization and network troubleshooting preferred. Successful candidate will possess excellent customer service and problem solving skills, along with a demonstrated ability in Microsoft Windows Active Directory 2008/Terminal Services, and familiarity with network protocols and terminology.

DENTAL SCHOOL ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVE

Full time position. The Admissions Representative will process all applications for the Dental School Program, advise prospective students, collect and process application materials, keep updated and confidential records, and assist in the planning and implementation of on-campus events related to admissions. STANDARDIZED PATIENT

Part-Time position. Hours worked are variable. The Standardized Patient will be trained by faculty and staff to realistically portray a patient in specific scenarios with various types of illnesses/health concerns so that medical students have the opportunity to practice their clinical skills in a controlled environment.  Standardized Patients will participate in medical interviews as well as focused or complete medical exams. Duties include learning a case script detailing a specific situation along with the specific emotions, behaviors, and disease symptoms for presentation during simulated learning situations; interacting with medical students during simulated medical examinations;  permitting physical examinations wearing a hospital gown, while on camera, and while being observed; and evaluating student performance.

Successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills to include memorization of scripts, and improvisation skills to allow realistic performance of a character.  Experience providing verbal and written feedback is desired.  Experience acting and/or role playing is desired, but not required. H.S. or equivalent is required; however, an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred especially in the following fields of study: health science, education, psychology, performing arts, or related areas of study. Acting and/or teaching experience is helpful but not required.
