FULL-TIME FACULTY

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine invites applications for several full-time faculty positions at the level of Assistant or Associate professor for the Bradenton, FL campus. The successful applicant will have teaching experience in one of the following disciplines: anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, or pathology. A Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. degree is required. The candidate will be integrated into our Problem Based Learning (PBL) curriculum. Preference will be given to individuals with a progressive teaching philosophy and previous experience as a PBL or TBL facilitator. The successful applicant should possess a strong desire to foster learning and advise osteopathic medical students and contribute to the development of the college through research and service. Faculty rank and salary are dependent on qualifications and experience.

CHAIR OF OPP DEPARTMENT

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine/Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine to serve as Course Director at the campus located in Bradenton, Florida. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of administering the Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP) course to undergraduate Osteopathic Medical students. The successful candidate must have earned a DO degree, and have current certification from the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (AOBNMM) in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine/Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.

Additional responsibilities include the following; contributing to the Clinical Examination course, undergraduate medical student advisement, problem-based learning facilitation, applicant interviewing, and other responsibilities as assigned.

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine seeks an osteopathic physician for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor position at its branch campus in Bradenton, Florida. Responsibilities of the successful candidate will include teaching in the Osteopathic Principles and Practices course, advising medical students, interviewing applicants, and contributing to the mission of the college through research and service. The successful candidate will also participate in the History and Physical Examination course and facilitate in the problem based learning (PBL) curriculum. Applicants must hold a D.O. degree from an AOA accredited osteopathic medical school and be licensed in the state of Florida.

BASIC SCIENCE FACULTY

The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, 12 month faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor for the Bradenton, Florida campus. The successful applicant will have experience in teaching basic science courses in one of the following disciplines: medical biochemistry, pharmacology, physiology, or anatomy. Additional expertise in immunology, genetics, or microbiology is desirable. Responsibilities will include lectures to Pharmacy students, and integration into the College of Medicine's problem based learning (PBL) curriculum. Preference will be given to individuals with a progressive teaching philosophy and previous facilitator experience in a PBL or team-based learning environment. Additional qualifications include a strong desire to foster learning in an innovative curriculum, advisement and mentorship of medical students, a positive attitude, and ability to contribute to the development of the college through research and service.
