LECOM Bradenton faculty member, Thomas Quinn, DO, honored
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Bradenton faculty member Thomas Quinn, DO has conducted a lot of
research and reading about osteopathic medical history. Now his name is part of that history. A.T. Still University and the Still National
Osteopathic Museum unveiled the newly built “Quinn Reading Room”, named after Dr.
Quinn, during Founder’s Day activities Oct. 15-16 in Kirksville, Mo.

Dr. Quinn and his wife, Sissy, attended the dedication while in Kirksville
discussing the publication of his upcoming book, The Feminine Touch: History of Women in
Osteopathic Medicine.
During Dr. Quinn’s 24-year military career, he served as the commander of the 103rd
Medical Battalion, the 28th Infantry Division Surgeon, and the State Surgeon of the Pennsylvania National Guard.
Throughout his medical
career, he has promoted the osteopathic profession in many speeches and publications.
