The students will take part in the internships between their first and second year of medical school. They consider the opportunities available at the various sites in the Erie area and take part in a health-related community project at the site over the summer.
In 2007, LECOM students were involved in a variety of community projects through the Bridging the Gaps program, including a summer health camp at Erie’s expERIEnce Children’s Museum and a presentation on shingles delivered to residents of St. Mary’s Home in Erie and at Asbury Ridge.
