The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine hosted Hospital Day 2008 on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at the Zem Zem Temple, at West 38th Street and Zuck Road in Erie. Representatives from approximately 70 hospitals from nine states were in attendance at the event.

LECOM Hospital Day serves as a point of reference for third- and fourth-year medical students making preparations to move into internships and/or residency training. The event gives these students the opportunity to meet with representatives from hospitals and discuss the programs they offer to new medical school graduates.

Hospital representatives discussed third- and fourth-year rotation opportunities at their hospitals with first- and second-year LECOM medical students. In several cases, LECOM alumni came back to represent their hospitals and sell their programs.
