
Six LECOM students receive $2,000 scholarships
Six Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine students each received a $2,000 scholarship from the Advocates for the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, or APOMA.

First-year medical students Carly Davis and Jessica DeSalvo received the APOMA KIN Scholarship, given to the son, daughter or grandchild of a POMA member. It is a one-time scholarship given to those students who demonstrate scholarship, leadership and community service to the medical school. Davis' father, W. Jeffrey Davis, D.O., is a POMA member and practices in Stewartstown, Pa. DeSalvo's father is Anthony DeSalvo, D.O., a POMA member practicing in Havertown, Pa.
