LECOM alumnus honored by Florida Society
Christopher Scuderi, DO, named 2009 Resident Teacher of the Year

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine alumnus Christopher B. Scuderi, DO, was named the 2009 Resident Teacher of the Year by the Florida Society of American College of Family Osteopathic Physicians (FSACOFP).

He completed a family medicine residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida, serving as chief resident during his last year of residency. St. Vincent's honored Dr. Scuderi as its Teaching Resident of the Year in 2008.

Also in 2008, he was one of 20 doctors to receive the American Academy of Family Physicians Bristol Myers Squibb Award for excellence in graduate medical education and has served as a volunteer physician for the nonprofit organization Volunteers in Medicine in Jacksonville.

Dr. Scuderi received LECOM's prestigious Dean's Award and was named Student DO of the Year in 2000.

FSACOFP President William Stager, DO, presented Dr. Scuderi with the award during the organization's annual conference in Orlando.
