LECOM Erie Students Compete in Primary Care Olympics

Eight teams of LECOM Erie medical students and residents competed in the 2011 Primary Care Olympics.  The teams tested their physical skills in six areas; basketball free throw, cycling, golf, abdominal crunches, running, and swimming.  Organized by Primary Care Department Director Richard Ortoski, DO, the Olympics promotes wellness and the students interest in primary care.  Ninety students and physicians from the MCH residency programs participated at the LECOM John M. & Silvia Ferretti Medical Fitness and Wellness Center.
